Captain Abraxas was in his usual comfort zone, that is, within the company of age-old books and scrolls. He was in the Library, with book shelves almost reaching the ceiling. The Library also had a small narrow window which provided a view of the night skies. The aged scholar was deep in thought with the mysteries surrounding his quest for the missing artefact. Time was of the essence as he could feel the evil forces of the CABAL conspiring to bring his mission to an end.

Abraxas was so engrossed with his studies that he barely noticed the door being frantically opened and hearing the sound of NaainÂ’s ragged breath. He turned around to see Naain collapse on her knees, panting.

“What’s the matter with you? You look like you’ve been chased by demons,” he asked.

“N-not just that, C-captain,” Naain gasped. “T-the stars! The stars!” He pointed to the window, her breaths uneven.

“Nonsense, child. I already checked those last night. Nothing’s amiss with the cosmic alliance of the stars,” Abraxas scoffed.

He was about to motion Naain to the adjoining room to discuss his latest discoveries when the ground shook beneath his feet. It was no ordinary quake. The earth shook so much that it nearly toppled the bookshelves surrounding him. Naain let out a small cry as one large book shelf was about to topple but Abraxas got hold of NaainÂ’s collar and pulled her aside before it fell on her. The quake subsided but the room was getting stifling with tension. Abraxas and Naain went outside to check on their surroundings.

He wasnÂ’t able to look around that much though. His eyes were transfixed on the inky black sky with stars in unusual alignments. Judging from the expletive he uttered, this was no ordinary phenomenon.

“T-this can’t be happening!” Abraxas exclaimed, his eyes still riveted to the sky. The stars Naain was mentioning were aligned in a nearly parallel fashion. This was indeed ominous.

Such cosmic alignment spelled bad news for the people of Nevareth. In his previous studies of history, such occurrence meant the advent of the Star of Destruction, one that always brought a plague of evil and devastation.

Abraxas was only able to remove his gaze from the sky when he heard a thunderous noise outside the city gates.

He heard screams and shouts.

“We’re being attacked by monsters! Run! Run for your lives!”

The following scenes flashed before AbraxasÂ’ eyes like a dream: terrified screams everywhere, people scampering in various directions, a thunderous crash, and swarms of monsters invading the city.

Amidst all the chaos that surrounded him, Abraxas noticed a lone figure standing in the middle of the mayhem. A Force blader was gathering energy into the 1 crystals in her hands.

He was about to shout a warning when the blader let out a Prismatic Arrow onto a small mob of monsters. He saw the lot disappear as the powerful force hit them, their flesh disintegrating.

The blader did not stop with just one blow. he released a myriad of arrows, her hands blurring at the speed of her attack. Scores upon scores of monsters fell against her powerful skills. However, the forces of evil did not go down so easily. Instead of moving away from the persistent blader, more monsters flocked towards her.

Despite the bladerÂ’s swift movement, the number of enemies was nearly overwhelming her. he was unable to evade one monsterÂ’s deadly blow; the shock of its impact sent her to her knees.

Abraxas couldnÂ’t stand to watch any longer. Running towards the Force blader, he waved his hand releasing an Energy Field, immobilizing the enemies as he quickly grabbed the wounded hero to safety.

“That was suicide, and you know it,” Captain Abraxas berated. Despite the blader’s wounds, he still managed to break out a smile. “I had to do it,” he replied.

“Who are you?” he asked. Surely this noble soldier was not the ordinary type. No one has displayed such bravery and strength despite the odds against them.

“I am called the GM. GM Rockstar is my name,” he rasped. “I need your help, sir. The attack nearly drained me of all my powers. I need the help of the people to help me find some items in order for me to regain my strength. Once I have my powers back, we can fight this evil in our midst.”

Abraxas could only nod. He has heard of the fabled GMs and how their powers can help turn the tide in battle. This was the opportunity he was looking for.
